On Sunday, September 7, 2025, the symposium will be unofficially opened at 6:30 p.m. with a champagne reception in the conference building on the Weihenstephan campus. This will be followed by food and drinks and time to meet colleagues from all over the world. The registration desk will be already opened at 5:00 p.m. and you can hang up your poster and check your oral presentation.

After the campus tour we'll go to the Bräustüberl Weihenstephan, which is the original home of the oldest brewery in the world, the Weihenstephan State Brewery placed on the so-called „Nährberg“. With its centuries-old history the Bräustüberl Weihenstephan is one of the most traditional establishments in Bavaria and home of one of the most famous Bavarian cheese specialties, the Obazd'n. After a beer tasting and some basics about beer and brewing, we will have a good time with more bavarian specialties.

The conference dinner will take place in the historic Benedictine Abbey of Scheyern about 30 km north of Freising. Busses will leave at 6:30 p.a. (after the ISHS business meeting) in front of the conference building and bring you back to Freising between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m..
