Growing media in horticulture are challenged by two lines of development, from peat-based to peat-free and from linear to circular production systems. Within this workshop, which was initiated by an online survey, we want to disentangle basic concerns related to sustainability and resilience of growing media and to identify areas of lower and higher effort to achieve transformation as well as threats, compounding and/or cascading risks, vulnerabilities and adaptive capacities.
